Monday night, she botched announcing the two couples that faced elimination. Tyra tried to cover her mistake by blaming the “control room. This is live TV, right? This is the craziness of live TV.”

The duo of Monica Aldama and Valentin Chmerkovskiy were forced to return to the stage and learn their fate. Just moments earlier they believed they were safe from elimination. Val joked afterward about the surreal moment. (quote) “It was crazy, it was shocking. To be honest, we still don’t know what happened exactly. I’m just thinking this is so typical for the year 2020.”

The judges felt unanimous that Monica and Val deserved another week on the competition. They sent home Anne Heche and her professional dance partner Keo Motsepe. (Entertainment Tonight)
