BILLIE EILISH: No More Fur at Met Gala

Monday night, Billie Eilish attended the Met Gala in a corseted Oscar de la Renta gown with a 15-foot train.

The creative director for Oscar de la Renta said, (quote) “Billie was very interested in surprising everybody with a look she hasn’t done before. very clean and sensual. It felt like a risk for her — she wants to look pretty.”

She agreed to wear a nude tulle dress by Oscar de la Renta on one condition: That the designer label “terminate all fur sales, which are meaningful amount of sales and profit.”

Billie is an animal rights activist and vegan. A “no fur” mandate is a no-brainer. She told the New York Times, (quote) “I’m honored to have been a catalyst. I am shocked that wearing fur isn’t completely outlawed.”
