The Weeknd received the best news from his doctor. With enough vocal rest, his late-September concert in Toronto is a go. The Weeknd abruptly ended his second Los Angeles show because he lost his voice after just the third song. That date has yet to be rescheduled. The Weeknd tweeted on Tuesday, (quote) “Doctor says my voice is safe with rest. I’ll be solid and able to bring the show my TORONTO fans are waiting for.” (Variety)
Olympic sprinter and former Texas A&M star Shavez Hart was tragically shot and killed after allegedly trying to break up a fight outside of a nightclub in the Bahamas on Saturday. Chris Rock briefly addressed, during a 90-minute comedy set, the Academy Awards slap from Will Smith That incident opened doors for Rock, which he rejected. The Oscars invited him to host next year's ceremony. Chris told the Phoenix crowd how he refused that as well as an offer for a Super Bowl commercial centered on the Oscars incident. Beyonce is raising a glass to retiring tennis legend Serena Williams -- a glass of Gatorade, that is. Bey narrates a new ad for the sports drink, which is titled "For Serena Williams, With Love." Boxing great George Foreman is facing another kind of fight -- he's been sued for child sexual assault. Two women have filed suit against Foreman saying that he sexually abused them when they were young teens in the '70s. Both women, "Denise S." and "Gwen H.", have similar stories of being "groomed" from a young age. Denise's suit says the misconduct began when she was 13 and intercourse when she was 15. In the 20 years since the “What’s that song?” app popped up, nobody’s music has been looked up as much as Drizzy’s. The platform reports 350 million Shazams across his catalog -- counting his solo songs and tracks he’s been featured on. Out of all of Aubrey’s greatest hits, it’s actually 2016’s "One Dance" which has been Shazamed the most -- a whopping 17 million times.
