Jeff Bezos has gone to space and now he’s setting his sights on a place to stay the next time he makes the trip.
The Amazon and Blue Origin founder is making plans for a space station which he hopes to have built and operational by the end of the decade. The space outpost, which he’s referring to as “Orbital Reef,” is described as a “mixed-use business park” in space. The 32,000 square feet space station will be designed to give customers a location to do all sorts of things, from film-making to conducting scientific research. It will also include a “space hotel.”
Blue Origin is working with Boeing and Sierra Space on building the space station. (CNBC)
